A “Look Back Thursday” Reflects on The Mauldin Group’s Paying It Forward
At The Mauldin Group we love looking back at not only the goals we have met for our clients but, our opportunities to share with the community. For this month’s “Look Back Thursday” article we wished to highlight a special event two of our team members were able to share in last year. Specifically DMA, Zachary Mathis and Content Marketing Manager, Jinna Marbry. For those who know the TMG team, know that most of us share one common aspect, we are all Kennesaw State University alumni. As such, when asked by Influencer, Author and Noted Marketing Professor, Tyra Burton to participate in the first-ever KSU Digital Media Competition, we could not say no.
The event hosted by Coles College of Business & The Department of Marketing & Professional Sales on April 14, 2018, encompassed teams of Coles College of Business and Kennesaw State marketing students who came together in competition to show off their social media marketing skills. The students were presented with real-life scenarios for a few local companies in which a social media campaign was constructed. The students then took turns making their presentations to these businesses and judges, including our TMG team members. The winners received prizes and were recognized at the end of the competition.
For us at The Mauldin Group, we are always proud to be a part of encouraging those coming behind us in the Digital Marketing field. We would like to thank Kennesaw State University, Coles College of Business, Professor Tyra Burton and the students for allowing us to be a part of such a special event. As a continued part of our commitment to sharing in our knowledge of Digital Marketing, we encourage college students interested in learning more about this subject from a “real world” perspective to apply to The Mauldin Group for one of our internship positions available every August and January.
